Pretty bad
There is no Polish word for "maybe"!!! Of course there is, but this dictionary cant find a translation. Its also not smart enough to translate "thank you"--probably because its more than one word. Any half decent dictionary would find this, however. Im so disappointed. What a waste of money.
Really useful
This application is very useful and really cheap.
not very user friendly
Only allows for one letter to be input in Polish otherwise it doesnt find a translation. I put in "cz" and it autocompletes to "cd" even though I select Polish-to-English. If I click the "x" to not select the autocomplete, it comes up with "no translation". Doesnt have a Polish keyboard. Makes it difficult to get a translation for "czesc" without the accents over the last two letters. Seems to have a lot of translated words but is a simple dictionary with no frills. Not worth $5 unless you mostly need it from English-to-Polish. Expect to be scrolling down a lot for Polish words unless they dont have accents on any letters. The listed website does not cater to this product.
This Program is OK
The program is useful but needs a lot of work. I speak Polish but sometimes forget a word or dont understand something and unfortunately this program has many words missing that I have tried to plug in. I will update this review after I have used the app more.
**Update**
The more I use this application the more upset I get for buying it. Most words I look up give me an error saying, "No translations have been found." Five dollars is not exactly a small amount to pay. I cant stress enough the frustration I get from pulling my ipod out, typing in a word, and getting no help from an application I payed for. Im curious what the ratio is for the words in this program versus the total amount of words in the Polish and English languages. It must be very small.
Really useful, but still needs some work.
The interface is simply ugly, unlike other iPhone apps. Search field might be a little higher and the keyboard shouldnt hide when there are no results found. And the message shouldnt appear this way. It reminds me error messages in Windows or those annoying pop-ups on web sites.
And, of course, dictionary might be more extensive.
Thank you Codesign for this app. Keep up the good work.
